Multimode Fiber Optic Patch Cords

Multimode simplex and duplex fiber patch cords are most commonly used in campus networks and other short distance applications. 62.5/125um and 50/125um are the most common core and cladding sizes for MM (multimode) fiber. There are 5 categories of MM fiber; OM1, OM2, OM3, OM4 and OM5. The major difference amongst them is the distance they can carry a 10G signal before it needs to be repeated.
