Tight Buffer

Tight buffered fiber is optical fiber that is coated with a very thin PVC coating to offer some protection against breakage to the fiber. Tight Buffered Fiber is often used as a component in larger fiber optic cables such as distribution cable or breakout cable. It is also commonly used as the fiber of choice in color coded pigtail packs used in fusion splicing.
