Fiber Instrument Sales conducts fiber optic training throughout the US.  Instructors John Bruno and Bob Licari will explain that even if you have taken one of his classes in the past, you might want to take a refresher. It is important to note that a lot has changed in fiber optics over the past few years and he is constantly updating his material. His classes are always a new experience for those wishing to begin or continue their fiber optic education.

The course starts with the basics and the fundamentals. Next the course progresses through connectorization, power meter and light source attenuation testing, and hands on OTDR testing. And finishes up with an entire section on fusion splicing.

LIVE ONLINE

This course allows people in different locations to interact with each other as well as communicate directly with the instructor. The Live Online class is done by video feed; ZOOM, you can see all the material and equipment used in our in-person classroom environment and interact in real time with your instructor as if you were talking face to face. Discussions are always welcome and encouraged.

By taking the Live Online course at $349.00, you will receive Johnny’s Tool Box with a fiber optic manual, a $315.00 value for FREE. This tool box and manual is all you need to follow along for the entire training and you will receive 16 BICSI credits.  Live Online information and the class schedule.

ONLINE - AT YOUR OWN PACE

This is a perfect way to learn fiber optics at your own pace. The course can be taken on your computer right at home or work. The program is broken down into 20 individual learning topics, over 9 hours of instructional videos. Each will give you an in depth understanding of fiber optics. After each segment a quick multiple choice quiz can be taken to determine how well you are progressing. These videos offer a straight to the point learning experience. From fiber optic history right through to splice on connector termination, these videos are a quick way to pick up the valuable knowledge you need to have an understanding of the fiber optic industry and its applications.

Once the course is purchased a code and link to the course will be emailed to you.  One certificate per code will be issued once the course is completed. The code is valid until the course is completed.

STANDARD TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF CANCELLATION/RESCHEDULING FOR BRIGHTSIDE TRAINING EVENTS

 

Rescheduling requests will be accommodated whenever possible and at the discretion of Fiber Instrument Sales, Inc. Requests to reschedule should be made as early as possible. 

 

 

Cancellation Policy:

 

Cancel at least fourteen (14) days prior to class -------------- No Cancellation Fee

 

Cancel less than fourteen (14) days prior to class ------------ 25% Cancellation Fee

 

 

Rescheduling Policy: 

 

Reschedule less than fourteen (14) days prior to the first day of the course --------- 25% Fee 

 

There will be no fee if the course is rescheduled at least fourteen (14) days prior to the start of the course.

 

 

Attendees:

 

Substitute attendees are allowed and can attend in place of an originally scheduled attendee.

 

 

FIS Cancellation: 

 

If for any reason the course is canceled by Fiber Instrument Sales, Fiber Instrument Sales’ liability is limited to the return cost of any previously charged course fees.
